Nobel Laureate to Address Washington Audience

(March 29, 2004, Washington, D.C.) Join Eric Kandel of Columbia University's Center for Neurobiology and Behavior and the Howard Hughes Medican Institute as he discusses “The Long and Short of Long-Term Memory” at the Carnegie Institution, Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 6:45 p.m. Eric Kandel's research on how our brains store long-term and short-term memories led to his sharing the Nobel Prize in 2000. His work has helped delineate the brain's molecular mechanisms for these two types of memories.
